Why?

Climate change is a complex challenge demanding a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. IRISCC recognises this need and is committed to building capacity through a comprehensive training and knowledge exchange program. Work Package 3 (WP3) spearheads this initiative, aiming to equip researchers, institutions, and stakeholders with the expertise required to tackle climate change risks head-on.

Our Mission

  • Maximise Impact: Ensure widespread adoption and utilisation of IRISCC’s resources and services.
  • Develop Expertise: Enhance climate change risk assessment skills for researchers and practitioners.
  • Foster Innovation: Harvest insights from the IRISCC Demonstrators to drive innovation in climate service development.

Future Training Opportunities

IRISCC is launching a training programme to support researchers, institutions, and innovators in making the most of climate-related research infrastructure services. The training covers a mix of practical topics, capacity building, and community engagement, delivered in varied, engaging formats.
