Explore how a single-access-point service integrates ACTRIS and EIRENE (EXPANSE) data to simplify linking European address data with temperature and air quality metrics, helping researchers evaluate the combined health impacts of heatwaves and poor air quality in urban areas.
About the Webinar
European summers increasingly bring compounding hazards of extreme heat and deteriorated air quality, a combination particularly harmful to human health in urban environments. Assessing these health risks typically requires complex geospatial linking between health cohort addresses and multi-source environmental datasets.
This webinar presents a new service developed through the collaboration of the ACTRIS and EIRENE research infrastructures within the IRISCC project framework. The service provides a single access point, available via the EIRENE FAIR Data Portal, that allows users to easily link address-level cohort data to air quality metrics and retrospective or prospective temperature data without requiring specialized geospatial processing knowledge.
By simplifying data integration, this tool expands access for researchers and public stakeholders investigating compound environmental health impacts and supports evidence-based urban planning and health policy.
