ICOS Science Conference, organised every second year by the ICOS community, is a global event open to scientists and other experts working in greenhouse gases and biogeochemical cycles. ICOS Science Conference 2026 will be organised on 15-17 September 2026 in Lund, Sweden and online. The overarching theme of the conference is “Science, Data, Services: Together for Climate Action”.
IRISCC at the ICOS Science Conference 2026
IRISCC is pleased to contribute to the ICOS Science Conference 2026 through Session 32: “Unlocking Climate Research Solutions through Co-Design.”
As a project dedicated to advancing research on climate change risks (CCR), IRISCC actively applies a co-design framework to ensure that research infrastructure services respond to real user needs and support actionable climate solutions.
Join the Discussion
This session invites researchers, designers, and developers to share:
-
Case studies and lessons learned from co-design processes
-
Practical approaches for integrating stakeholders
-
Reflections on barriers and enabling factors
-
Early-stage projects seeking feedback
If you are already involving users in developing climate services or tools, you are engaging in co-design. This session offers a platform to exchange experiences and strengthen user-centered climate solutions.
Abstract submission deadline: 6 March 2026
We warmly encourage IRISCC partners to submit abstracts to this session and showcase how co-design strengthens climate change risk research across infrastructures and disciplines.
Let’s demonstrate together how collaborative, user-centered approaches can shape the future of climate action services.
